Advanced electromyography testing that pinpoints exactly what’s causing your numbness, tingling, or muscle weakness.

You’ve been dealing with that tingling in your hands for months. Or maybe it’s the shooting pain down your leg that’s making work unbearable. Your regular doctor says “let’s wait and see,” but you need answers now.
EMG testing gives you those answers. This diagnostic test measures the electrical activity in your muscles and nerves, showing us exactly where the problem is and how severe it might be. No more guessing whether that numbness in your fingers is carpal tunnel or something else entirely.
When we complete your electromyography testing, you’ll walk out knowing whether you’re dealing with nerve compression, muscle disorders, or something that needs immediate attention. That uncertainty that’s been eating at you? Gone. Now you can move forward with a real treatment plan instead of wondering if your symptoms will get worse.
We’ve been providing EMG diagnostic testing to patients throughout South Florida for years. Our board-certified specialists understand that when you’re dealing with nerve pain or muscle weakness, you don’t have time for inexperienced technicians or outdated equipment.
We use advanced electromyography equipment that gives us precise readings the first time. No repeat tests because someone couldn’t get a clear signal. Our physicians have performed thousands of EMG and nerve conduction studies, so they know exactly what to look for and how to interpret your results.
You’re not just another appointment on our schedule. When you come to our Pennsuco location, you’re working with specialists who’ve built their reputation on accurate diagnosis and straight answers.
Your EMG testing appointment typically takes 30 to 60 minutes, depending on which nerves and muscles we need to examine. We start with the nerve conduction study, where we place small electrodes on your skin and send mild electrical pulses to measure how fast your nerves carry signals.
Next comes the electromyography portion. We insert a thin needle electrode into specific muscles to measure their electrical activity. Yes, there’s some discomfort, but it’s brief and most patients tolerate it well. Think of it like getting blood drawn, but we’re measuring muscle activity instead.
Throughout the entire process, we explain what we’re seeing on the monitor. You’ll hear the sounds your muscles make and understand what normal versus abnormal activity looks like. By the end of your appointment, we’ll review the results with you and discuss what they mean for your treatment options.
Ready to get started?
Your EMG testing includes both electromyography and nerve conduction studies in one comprehensive appointment. We test the specific areas where you’re experiencing symptoms, whether that’s your hands, arms, legs, or back. Our equipment can detect even subtle changes in nerve function that might be missed with less sensitive devices.
We evaluate conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, peripheral neuropathy, herniated disc nerve compression, and muscle disorders. Each test is customized based on your symptoms and your referring physician’s concerns. You’re not getting a one-size-fits-all approach.
After your testing, you receive a detailed report that explains the findings in terms you can understand. We also send comprehensive results to your referring physician so your treatment team has all the information they need to develop your care plan.
