Advanced diagnostic testing that pinpoints exactly what’s causing your numbness, tingling, or weakness.
Reviews
You’ve been dealing with symptoms that don’t make sense. Numbness in your hands that comes and goes. Weakness that your doctor can’t explain. Tingling that keeps you up at night.
Here’s what changes when you get accurate nerve and muscle testing. Your treatment actually targets the real problem instead of masking symptoms. You avoid months of trial-and-error with medications that might not work. Your doctor can create a plan based on facts, not assumptions.
Most importantly, you get answers. Real, specific information about what’s happening in your body and why. That uncertainty that’s been eating at you? It ends here.
We’ve been serving Kensington and the greater Brooklyn area with specialized nerve and muscle diagnostic testing. We focus specifically on conditions affecting the spine, nerves, and muscles because that’s where our expertise makes the biggest difference.
Our team understands that you’ve probably been to other doctors who couldn’t give you clear answers. We use advanced EMG and nerve conduction technology specifically designed to identify problems that standard tests might miss.
We’ve built our practice around one simple principle: accurate diagnosis leads to better treatment outcomes. When you know exactly what’s wrong, you can fix it properly the first time.
Your nerve and muscle evaluation starts with a detailed discussion of your symptoms. We need to understand exactly what you’re experiencing, when it happens, and what makes it better or worse.
The actual testing involves two main components. Electromyography (EMG) measures the electrical activity in your muscles to see how well they’re responding to nerve signals. Nerve conduction studies test how quickly and effectively your nerves transmit electrical impulses.
Both tests are performed right in our office and typically take 30-60 minutes total. You’ll get preliminary results immediately, and we’ll schedule a follow-up to review your complete results and discuss treatment options. Most patients say the clarity they get from these tests is worth any minor discomfort during the procedure.
Ready to get started?
Your comprehensive nerve and muscle diagnostic testing covers both the electrical function of your nerves and how well your muscles respond to nerve signals. We test multiple nerve pathways to identify exactly where problems are occurring.
The evaluation includes detailed EMG testing of affected muscle groups, nerve conduction velocity studies to measure signal transmission speed, and sensory nerve testing to assess feeling and sensation. We also perform motor nerve testing to evaluate muscle control and strength.
You’ll receive a complete written report explaining your results in terms you can understand, plus specific recommendations for treatment based on your individual findings. Many Kensington patients tell us this is the first time they’ve received such detailed information about their condition.
